I have been creating and compiling different recipes for a couple of years now with the intention of writing my own cookbook. When I asked several of my friends ( and tasting cohorts of my recipes ) which format they would turn to for recipes, a physical cookbook or a digital food blog, they all stated that they prefer to look up recipes online instead of thumbing through a book.
I have wrestled with the pros and cons of writing a cookbook with the hopes of being published versus writing a food blog that I would feel was more like a job that I would have to post to on a timeline in order to be able to share one of my many passions with others. The meals we create and share can turn food into works of art, depending on the eyes and palate of those partaking in the experience of it.
What’s your take and how do you look for inspiration or how to recipes?
